ANNUAL MEETING
Plans for the neighborhood annual meeting are underway, so please be on the lookout for an invitation and futher details. The tentative date is September 10 at 6 pm. This is a big meeting including elections, crime watch program launch (see below), talking with local officials and of course, getting to know our neighbors better. More information to come…
WE WANT YOU!
Our ballot is almost complete, though we still need a nominee for President and welcome new committee members and Zone Captains. It does not require a lot of time and it is great to meet your neighbors and enhance your community!
If interested in learning more, please email Angel Postell at angelpostell@gmail.com.
FRONT ENTRANCE
Thanks to all who have stepped forward to help with the watering and maintenance of the front bed. There are 5 neighbors who are working to ensure that the new planting thrives and continues to grow! We still need help with watering and weeding, so please contact Arnold Postell at edible_gardens@yahoo.com. A bid for the front entrance sign has been accepted and we will be hosting a dedication very soon, so stay tuned for details. This truly is a neighborhood-effort and we thank all of our neighbors for being a part!

CRIME WATCH
The Neighborhood Association is working with the City of Charleston Police Department to organize a Neighborhood Crime Watch program. Our neighbor Mark Del Mastro is our liason and is working with the CPD and Team 4 to certify Charleston Estates 1. A Crime Prevention presentation will be a part of our meeting in September and we are also looking into purchasing Crime Watch signs ($15 each from the City). We have also had several requests to look into “No Solicitation” signs for the front of our neighborhood to cut down on the door-to-door folks who could potentially be criminals ‘casing’ the neighborhood. These matters and more will be addressed at September’s meeting, so please come and be a part of that discussion.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Don’t forget to pay your dues if you have not already done so. Dues are $15 a year and can be mailed or delivered to 29 Bainbridge Drive.
