EXXON | PARKERS GAS STATION
The City Design Review Board will meet on February 4th at 5:00 pm, 2 George Street in the public meeting room of the Gaillard Municipal Building to consider two applications for the demolition of the former North Bridge Exxon gas station and the the conceptual design of the Parker Gas station at 1140 Sam Rittenberg Blvd (intersection of Sam Rittenberg Blvd. and Orange Grove Road).
You may review those proposed plans attached or by logging onto the City’s website: www.charlestonsc.gov/drb
On Wednesday, February 6th, the same applicants for the Parker gas station will appear before the Board of Zoning Appeals-Site Design at 5:00, same location, seeking a variance for the removal of 10 protected trees and two other variances to allow the reduction of a landscape buffer.
Please plan to attend these two public hearing to express your approval or concerns with this project.
This site sits at the gateway to West Ashley and to the most historic location of our City and Sate-Charles Towne Landing. We want to ensure these plans are consistent with our neighborhoods and surrounding community, and with the overall goal of the revitalization of West Ashley.
SHORT TERM RENTAL APPLICATIONS
We’ve had a couple of questions about Short Term Rentals in the neighborhood. Visit the city’s website for more information about the application process and zoning requirements.
